Servicing the Deaf & Hard of hearing community since 1991. Kim Davis is the CEO director and founder of AUSLAN AVENUE.
Kim is a C.OD.A (Child of Deaf Adults) and sign language is her first language. She started with BSL (British Sign Language) but transitioned to AUSLAN (Australian Sign Language) when her family migrated.

Kim has worked as an Interpreter for 31 years, starting her interpreting journey under the mentorship interpreter program of LINK Australian Sign Language Interpreting Service in St Peters, New South in 1991. After a study break, Kim gained her NAATI paraprofessional Interpreting accreditation in November 1996.

Kim started working for The Deaf Society of NSW in 1996 and Western Area Health Services. A family tragedy in 1997 saw Kim and her husband migrated to Northern Rivers of NSW, to become full-time careers for a family member with ABI (Acquired Brain Injury). Kim continued her work for The Deaf Society of NSW and started working as an educational Interpreter at The Southern Cross University, TAFE Northern Rivers and continued her freelancing interpreting.

Kim and her family relocated to Redcliffe in 2007. Kim has a passion for the arts and crafts and financial interpreting, and in 2017 gained her Certificate III in Financial Services. Being a participant in the NAATI Revalidation Program, and a firm believer in the interpreter's code of ethics meaning she regularly engages in professional development and training.
